TripIt

“TripIt is an online service that helps people organize all their travel plans - flights, hotels, rental cars, trains, cruises - no matter where they booked.” Travelers use a multitude of online services to book various components of their travel itinerary. Nearly always, the booking process results in a confirmation being emailed to the traveler, encapsulating the travel arrangements.

The traveler simply forwards that confirmation to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Tripit then provides one-site viewing and management of all travel arrangements. From airline flight seat selection, flight check-in or flight status monitoring to rental car tracking, driving directions, hotel stay details, local weather conditions, maps and city guides and much more, ALL the information is centrally located and easily accessible. The information may also be shared with coworkers, friends and family members - allowing those closest to the traveler to stay informed on any updates to the itinerary and travel arrangements.

The Hudson Group’s developers have made the process simpler still; the Internet reservation system now submits specially formatted XML booking details directly to TripIt.com - ensuring immediate and accurate handling of the transportation details and eliminating the need to forward potentially insecure emails.
